Jennifer Fisherman-Ruff is a publicist based in New York City specializing in the fields of beauty, health and wellness. With 25 years in the industry, Jennifer has worked on behalf of prominent doctors, high-end fashion manufacturers, beauty experts as well as some of the biggest names in cosmetics.

With her agency background, Jennifer’s training allows her to fulfill the challenges presented to her, while her boutique approach allows her to have a personal, accessible relationship with each of her clients. Her diversity of contacts in the health and beauty space enables her to take on the special needs of everyone, no matter how different they are.

Having been part of the original team that launched Equinox, she was instrumental in growing the business from one NYC upper West Side location to clubs internationally. Jennifer created world renowned fashion and beauty programs with MAC Cosmetics, having been the New York Fashion Week liaison. She introduced the company to the world’s top designers and ultimately created makeup collections based on these collaborations.  For many years, Jennifer worked to build Cover FX as household name launching a diverse range of foundations to the now popular liquid highlighters.

With her niche knowledge of the cosmetic industry, Jennifer helped catapult the careers of several New York Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons, namely Dr. David Colbert and Dr. Dendy Engelman, whose Manhattan based practices are now the waiting room for Hollywood’s a-list.

Jennifer has refined her skills in the health and wellness industry by launching Reserveage Nutrition as well as working with several nutritionists, authors, exercise physiologists, and scientific researchers.

From product placement to feature articles to television segments, Jennifer is able to educate the press on product messaging and positioning, while captivating the audience with thoughtful story angles. Additionally, she specializes in small, start-up brands while extending beyond the normal public relations responsibilities by helping with product development, packaging, market positioning, retail relationships, which allows new brands to further reach their goals and establish themselves in the market place. Furthermore, with the ever-changing consumer marketplace, Jennifer has been on the forefront of digital media by working with press to extend beyond traditional public relations and reach the consumer in every medium.

Jennifer Fisherman-Ruff is the mother of twin boys, Harrison and David, and presently resides in New York City with her husband, Michael.

Ruff Communications grew in 2014 with addition of Carrieanne Reichardt. Carrieanne graduated with a business degree from the University of Florida before moving to New York City.
